Harvest Party!

Well...Harvest Party '08 has come and gone, but we would like to thank everyone for making the trek up to G-Town to spend a fun weekend with us Catts! It was a fun weekend filled with A LOT of kids and A LOT of good times. It was awesome to see all the new babies in everyone's lives. We are already looking forward to next year but for now we're just resting from the weekend! We'll post some pics of the weekend soon!

Michigan Finally Wins!

So this past weekend we to the Michigan vs. Notre Dame football game with Krick and some other guys from Spring Hill. That's right I (Kristi) was the only chick. I think the only reason I got invited was b/c Drew couldn't go and Krick wanted Travis to go and there you have it. But I'll take it because I really do like football! We had a great time, with lots of laughs and inappropriateness...with Krick what else would I expect though! Michigan did win, finally! We had this really annoying man behind us that kept yelling, "Kill him, Kill him..." He literally would scream this every single time Notre Dame had possession of the football...everytime.....the crazy fans are really what make the game entertaining though :)

Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day Weekend was a mix of fun and work for us! Saturday we rented a pontoon boat with our good friends Scott & Becky and their two little guys Jaden & Brody (who's only a month old) and Scott's parents. The kids were champs and were like gold for 5 hours. It was a perfect day with no rain. We floated around Torch Lake and then took the grass river up to Lake Bellaire. I would definitely recommend it, it was super relaxing with beautiful landscape. Sunday we took our dock out at the cottage and I actually helped! Sunday was another beautiful day of weather...so it was kind of fun being in the water all day! My parents anniversary was Sunday so we met them over in Petoskey for the evening and ate desert and walked down by the water. Monday was a work day with nothing too exciting to tell :)

Guy Weekend

So, apparently the boys had a good time. Not all information is released b/c they like to think they have this secret society, but whatever :) Drew, Kris, Trav and Mike all went down to Silver Lake to the Spanding Cottage. They stayed up until 4:00am Friday night and had a game tri-athalon Saturday. They played phase 10, settlers and some other game I can't remember. Anyway, Drew and Kirs were a team and Trav and Mike were a team (shadey I know). Well, Mike and Trav won! Exciting right? Well, I love my husband and all but I do suspect cheating as him and Mike are two of the most shadey guys I know (Mike we all know, but Trav is a closet shadey kind of guy if you know what I mean :)

With all that said they all had a great time, the guys definitely got to know Trav a little bit better Friday evening....sorry Leanne I can't tell this one, but I'm sure Kris will reveal! I think it's great the boys can all get together and hang out and just be boys!

End of Summer :(

The end of summer is always so werid in Northern Michigan. Like today, it totally feels like fall. Well, this past week I (Kristi) went school shopping with our neice down in Detroit (Trav's Mom and Michelle went too). Makes me feel old! Trav is down in Silver Lake with all the boys having "guy time." So, I'm sure we'll have some pics from this weekend. Some of them I'm sure will be too inappropriate for the blog but we'll see! Hope everyone is dong well!

CATT ROAST

Well, another Catt Roast has come and gone! It was a great day with amazing weather! We had over 200 people and everything was basically the norm...amazing food, fun inflatables for the kiddies...! A new addition this year was an '80's band! They were fantastic! They played from 6:00-10:00. The girl who was the lead singer wore a leotard and the guys in the band wore short running shorts and tube socks. Drew was definitely in his element! I'll post more pics, but for now this one of Kristi and Ella was a personal fav! I know you're all probably in shock that we're actually posting...I'm turing over a new leaf and am going to try and keep the blog up!

What we've been up to!

Sorry we have not posted in forever...we do not have kids yet :) It's the only excuse I could come up with! And besides that we do not own a camera. Kind of weird right? This past weekend Trav and I traveled down to Indianapolis to visit some friends...Justin and Bethany (Justin was in our wedding and a friend of Trav's and mine from High School), and Robyn Wood (some of you may remember Robyn from Cornerstone). It was great spending time with them and catching up....the weather stunk as it was snowing/raining and 40 but we seriously had a great time. Being an Auntie and Uncle has been great! Travis still has not held Ella, so you'll all have to give him a hard time. I just hung out with Jill and Ella today, and it was great fun! Ella slept and spit up on me! This upcoming weekend I'm traveling down to Nashville for the GMA's (the conference that leads up to the Dove Awards) with Trav's parents. I'll have more updates when I get back!

ELLA SPANDING - STINKIN' CUTE

Well....Ella Ann Spanding has arrived! Yes, Jill & Drew named her! She was 7lbs 4.5 oz. and 18 1/4" long. She's super cute, and no I'm not biased. So, far we're thinking she has Jill's lips and eyes and the Spanding nose. What we do know for sure is that she's beautiful and Jill and Drew are super tired. Jill's the woman after having 40 hours of labor.....yikes. Jill, Drew and baby Spanding are coming home on Friday...so be sure to check their blog after the weekend for more info and pics!

Our Spring Break in St. John

Travis' parents took us and Aaron and Michelle to St. John for our Christmas gift...I know nice Christmas gift huh? It was a very relaxing time to get away and hang out with family. We rented a boat for a day and toured around the island. I can't say that I handled the huge waves very well, as Travis will tell anyone. I screamed like a little girl for probably about half an hour straight. Hey, the sea was pretty rough, and no I was not exagerating at all!

Well, after all of our friends have been saying we need to get a blog for the past couple of years...we're finally here! I know we're a little big behind the times, but it's better late than never. So, since we're in G-Town and not really around that much this sould help with all of us being able to keep in touch!
